Yes. Through our limited partners we make direct investments in our portfolio companies.
We select the funding strategy and the investors best suited for the company. When the background and expertise match the needs of the company, we invest directly.
Do you make direct investments in the companies?
Is there a limit to the funding needs of the companies?
No. Companies come to us with capital requirements from $50K to $20MM.
What if we don't need money but need access to your network and expertise?
Many entrepreneurs approach us not for capital but for our network of relationships, operating and founder expertise.
Do you have a geographic focus?
We believe great ideas originate globally. We think it is important that companies should be first and foremost close to their markets. Geography is irrelevant. Our vast global network allows us to engage and partner founders across the globe and add value beyond a specific geographic market.
Can we gain access to international markets and relationships though you?
Yes. Our global network of co-investors and access to foreign markets is a major value that we bring to our companies.
What is your focus?
Here are some of the criteria we use to select opportunities:
High Impact
We focus on High-Impact companies - companies that solve massive market problems or create vast new market opportunities. The size of the market and the magnitude of the problem/opportunity matter.
First-time Founders
We mostly partner with first-time entrepreneurs, with deep industry expertise in their field and an unfair advantage in solving the problem they are after.
Serial Entrepreneurs
Occasionally we partner with serial entrepreneurs who, based on their past experience, understand that they are much better off focusing on building their business while leveraging our expertise and relationships to execute the ideal funding strategy. Often, serial founders come to us for the strategic value we bring, and thus accelerate their execution.
Industry-agnostic
We don't focus on a specific industry. Our interests are eclectic. We focus on growing industries with strong fundamentals and significant potential for change. Historically, most of our companies have been in health, security, media, and more recently IoT (Internet of Things).
